Win a bespoke bridal accessory worth up to £200 from By Harriet

How would you like to win a bespoke headpiece or item of jewellery made by an award-winning designer? I’m offering an exciting giveaway which could see you win a piece for your wedding worth up to £200* ~ made especially for you by By Harriet.

By Harriet has just been named north east region winner in the wedding accessory category of The 2012 Wedding Industry Awards so goes forward to the London finals in January 2012.

By Harriet is run by Harriet Head and based in East Yorkshire. She specialises in designing and handmaking bespoke wedding accessories, fascinators and hats.

Harriet says: “Each and every piece is created uniquely for the client to meet their own particular requirements. I listen, advise, assist and then create.”

For many people, their wedding will be the first time they order something bespoke. If you’re nervous about it, you needn’t be. If you can’t visit for a one-to-one appointment, Harriet sends samples in the post.

She said: “If a bride doesn’t feel a million dollars in what I’ve made, I haven’t done my job and am happy to continue until I have (happily this is a rare event!)

“I have my own distinct style and take great pride in my work and in making my clients happy.

“I’ve been a bride and have not forgotten the excitement, nerves, stress and pleasure involved. It is a pleasure and a privilege working with people preparing for such a special occasion and being able to make a positive contribution to their day.”

Harriet made her first tiara in 1998 for her own wedding. A few years later she was asked to make a fascinator for a friend who was a guest at a wedding ~ and she ended up making headdresses for the bride and bridesmaids too!

“Word quickly spread and I was being approached increasingly frequently by friends, colleagues, friends of friends and even local businesses.

“Everything was pointing me towards turning a creative passion into a business, thus ‘By Harriet’ was officially established and I am proud to say continues to go from strength to strength.”

Harriet also runs Boutique Accessories By Harriet, an affordable collection of jewellery, bags, hair accessories, wraps and shrugs, veils, shoes and umbrellas and parasols made by other manufacturers.
